A little white furred dog quietly came around a bush, busily sniffing the ground as it went along, closing the distance and blindly edging to the group of gathered men nearby.
Upon closer look, the men can clearly see a black leather collar tied around it's neck, something undishtinguishable, written along the edges.
It seems to be looking for something as it sniffs the air above around it and then proceeds to sniffing the ground again, making those cute sniffing sounds as it heads unknowingly towards the group of chatting men . . .

In an abrupt series of events, Zuo Yuanyang seemingly ignored the men and Su Sheng thought that he wanted to go back looking at the lake to be mesmerized again. ((PM received from ontohoed about discontinuing RP)) Su Sheng scratched his head over what just transpired, and was simply left speechless. Just then, a white furred dog started sniffing near Su Sheng.
"Eh? What's this?"
Su Sheng sees the dog curiously poking about. Not knowing what kind of dog it is, he keeps his distance, but lets the dog do as it pleases.
"It seems harmless enough, but.....What do you think Master Li?"

"Oh?"
((PM recieved too.)) Zuo Yuanyang seemed to have gazed back at the lake, but in doing so Li Huoming's attention was dragged towards the lake itself. There wasn't anything too special about it, although maybe...
Su Sheng had broken his little trance, as he pointed out a small dog. Although the diplomat had no qualm about the presence of the dog, there was something slightly alarming... his food was still in the open! Rushing over to protect his provisions, he quickly bundled them back up, placing them back into his robes.
"It may be harmless, but it seems to have a master. Would you think it to be lost?"
The sudden movement of the man as he went over his provisions had the dog startled as if surprised. It reared back it's furry ears and cast down a frightened look as it bent low as if to bolt out of there if need be.
Then it sniffed a bit. And again.
Then little by little, it moved towards the man who is bundling up his food inside his robe. With growing confidence, it dared a sniff at the air again.
The white furred dog's eyes widened up a bit with it's quarry now in sight.
It waggled it's long furry white tail with joy as it rushed up happily and sat near and looked to the man with the food. The white furred dog let out it's tongue as it panted for breath reminiscent of a smile . . .

If Only It Were A Cat...
The diplomat bent down, to face it more at an even level. It didn't seem like some stray, as it seemed content with humans. Stretching out his hand daringly, he made a move to get his hand on the collar...
The 'collar' suddenly dropped to the ground before the man fiddled with it.
The white furred dog closed it's mouth and looked at the thing with a bit of wonder.
The 'collar' seems to be a green bandana riddled with some holes here and there . . .
Upon closer look, the holes seems to be tears made by fangs of the dog's no doubt.
It then looked at the 'collar' some more as if wondering how it got rolled up in it's neck.
It raised up it's little furry head, looked at the man and slowly tilted it's head in curiosity.
The white furred dog happily wagged it's furry tail, gave a loud bark and jumped enthusiastically at the man. It went licking all around his face and then dug it's nose at the insides of his robes, searching for the tasty food that was surely hidden there . . .

u Sheng looks at what the dog does to Li Huoming and laughs very hard. After waiting a few seconds to cool off his laughter slightly, he went to help Li Huoming.
"I wonder what it wants."
Su Sheng continues laughing.
"Do you think it's hungry? Or maybe it just really really likes you. I'll help you get him off if you want....."

Li Huoming was ready to examine the "collar", but his intrigue was unfortunately interrupted by the dog. Jumping back in his crouched position, he yelped as the dog began to dig into his robes for the food he had stored inside.
"Ahh! Yes, get the mutt off of me!"
His cry of help was more playful, but at the same time he wanted to preserve his own lunch. And the dog's saliva was dirtying his own robes...
With his might, he tried to pry the dog off.
But try as he might, he can't pull the white furry dog off him.
It was surprisingly stronger than him. (OOC: by 29 points lol)
The white furry dog was amazingly determined too.
She just got to have at least one, just one bite of the tasty food that is waiting inside for her, beckoning at her rather playfully with it's rich scent and aroma. Yum, yum . . .
After a few awkward moments, the 'selfish' man succeeded in prying off the hungry dog.
It landed in it's rear, slumping on the ground before him with a squeal of frustration . . .

Su Sheng moved to help get the dog off of Li Huoming. By that time, Li Huoming succeeded in getting the dog off of him. Su Sheng looked at the dog, slumped momentarily on the ground from the force of the impact. While he did feel a little bad for the dog, he was pretty sure that Li Huoming didn't intend to slam the dog on the ground. Nonetheless, he moved to make sure both Li Huoming and the dog are ok. He talks to Li Huoming first.
"Are you alright? It didn't bite you or anything did it? Or maybe the little rascal took something from you....Yes, you might want to check your things to see if they're still there."
Su Sheng then moves to comfort the dog. He then rubs the dog's back and pets it a little, and hopefully comforting it.
"I still wonder what the dog wants. What should we do with it and I wonder who it belongs to? Maybe it's a stray dog looking for a new master. In that case, we should find a foster home for it."

Li Huoming, now flustered by his attempts to pry the dog off, stood back up, taking a few steps backwards so as to provide himself with some space. Anger was starting to set in to the diplomat's mind, and the man had half a mind to simply kick the dog, but the "collar" had caught his eye. It was green...
There was no chance of it. An absolute shot in the darkness. After all, there were plenty of green collars in the world, weren't there?
His reasoning did very little to stave off the doubt in his mind. Deciding on a more neutral action, he took out some food, throwing it to the dog, hoping it would focus on the food rather than his own robes.
He shook his head, then finally he spoke:
"I don't think the dog would've taken something, considering there's nowhere for it to hide an object... although finding it a foster home might be interesting. Could we entrust it with the local guards?"
He had his eye on the dog. There was no way he was going to be taken by surprise again... absolutely no way...
It didn't mind being patted on the back at all as it wagged it's furry tail, glad of the relief from having to scratch and divert it's attention away from the true goal. The little white furred dog's eyes suddenly went wide with alert and gave a loud bark as the man threw the food at it's direction.
And for a very brief moment, time itself seemed to have slowed down and everything else seemed to be moving in slow motion as the little white furred dog jumped with all it's might and opened it's little mouth to catch the flying food.
OOC: (Enter Bionic Woman soundtrack)
Oh how the food gracefully rolled about in mid-air several times as it tumbled end over end and slowly descended at the little white furred dog's opened mouth.
And lo! The little white furred dog's world seemed to freeze as it relished the tenderness and the munchyness of the food as it swallowed all it's tasty goodness. Yum, yum, yum . . .
The world suddenly turned back to normal as time itself correctively rolled back along it's normal pace, grunting as if angered at the slight disturbance of it's ever forward-heading course. The little white furred dog barked once again at the man who threw the food as if wanting him to throw another piece of goodness towards it's way . . .
OOC: (Surprise, surprise :D )
Zeff wrote:
The dog's barking surprised the diplomat. Surely it didn't want more food, did it? Without a good choice of action, and fearing another "attack" by the persistent dog, he tossed more food at it.
He would have to conserve the food he had, but he could feel the package slowly lighten. Oh, the horror of losing one's lunch to mere animals!
he little white furred dog caught the flying food once again, much faster this time as if starting to get the hang of it and seems as if it was now wearing a hearty smile.
It then moved closer in front of the man who would lose his lunch if he keep on doing this and made another bark, much louder this time though and rather sounded demanding . . .
Rinse and repeat.
OOC: The time stop thing was only flavor text, of course, lol. =P

In the meantime, Su Sheng was observing the whole incident and saw how the dog got more excited as Li Huoming threw more food. "It's hungry eh?" he thought. Seeing how throwing food only invites it more, Su Sheng wisely chose not to throw his own. He wanted to find some solution to the dog "problem" they have, so he spoke to Li Huoming about it.
"You know, that dog could've eaten an object on you. It could've ate your works and seeing how it's really hungry, I wouldn't be surprised. But also seeing that there aren't any evidence of paper in the dog's mouth, I'd say you're fine on that front. Let me inspect the collar to see if there is any indication as to who the owner is. I'm rather surprised that it's.....green."
Su Sheng moves to pick up the collar off the floor, which the dog had drop when Li Huoming first attempted to look at it.
As the man bent to pick up the collar of the little white furred dog, it seems to be a once beautiful green bandana for young women, marred now with those ugly little holes.
The little white furred dog suddenly shifted it's attention to him and barked with a growl as if angry at the man trying to 'steal' it's collar. It came at him rather slowly with it's now seemingly unfriendly eye with a "drop-it-now" look on it's face.
If the man would look closely enough, it seems to be 'written' with some black embroidery all throughout it's entirety with the Chinese charaters "Wuchan" . . .

With the dog's attention now elsewhere, Li Huoming saw his chance. With a forcible thrust, he laid his hand onto the little dog's head, and in a stern voice, beckoned the dog to sit.
He would have to see if the little mutt had any obedience in him, and if he didn't, he would have to teach it.
OOC: *rolls two percentile dice and gets a result of 76, over the man's Lead score by 25*
Wuchan happily obeyed at the man's commanding stern voice as he laid his hands on to her furry head with a forcible thrust. She looked at him while wagging her white furry tail and looking with a smile as if expecting the man to give another piece of goodness at her. . .
OOC: Oh, why does it have to be 76 . . . =(
